Food is an 8/10 Very authentic and italian Gluten-free option available which is amazing! Service was a bit slow on a Sunday even though it was almost empty. I recommend the Burrata, Caprese and Bruschetta mostly. The chicken was a bit dry, however pasta is big portion.

Over all a good place. They have both indoor and terrace upstairs seating. Nice and cozy place with good food and large portions. The service was good with some small mistakes, but overall not bad. We have had take out a few times but this was the first time dining in. A must visit.

Mario e Mario has quickly become one of my favorite neighborhood spots in Mar Mikhael. The charming terrace and warm, intimate atmosphere make it perfect for everything from casual lunches to romantic dinners. What really sets this place apart is the thoughtful presentation and delicious flavors across their entire menu. We started with fresh, vibrant salads and perfectly executed appetizers that had us eagerly anticipating the rest of the meal. For mains, we enjoyed: - Sirloin steak - Cooked to perfection with a beautiful sear and juicy interior - Arroz pasta - A comforting, risotto-like dish with wonderful texture - Linguine with shrimp - Light yet flavorful with plump, fresh seafood - Stuffed chicken - Moist and packed with delicious savory filling - Angel hair pasta with pancetta - Simple but executed flawlessly The real highlight came with dessert. Their tiramisu is easily among the best in Beirut - creamy, coffee-kissed, and perfectly balanced. But the espresso ice cream dessert was truly unique: the server presented an espresso cup with vanilla ice cream artfully smeared along the interior walls, creating a well where the espresso was poured into it. The result was magical - as we ate, the ice cream slowly melted into the coffee, creating a constantly evolving dessert that transitioned from affogato to a creamy, sweetened espresso. It was as delicious as it was clever. Mario e Mario delivers excellent Italian-inspired cuisine with creative touches that elevate the experience. The attentive service, cozy ambiance, and standout desserts make this a must-visit. That espresso ice cream presentation alone is worth returning for.

When skepticism rises concerning the perfect settings for a romantic date, this restuarant will definitely not disappoint from any aspect you can think of. The food was excellent, the portions were ample, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was electric. However, a little heads up, the food can be a tiny bit expensive. It’s worth it, though!

A very nice Italian restaurant though we had higher expectations for sure. Food is nice but service would have almost ruined it with some weird statements and behaviour which you wouldn't expect from such a well established restaurant. Not sure would go back but a definite try in the neighbourhood

Delicious food, friendly staff, and great background music! A beautifully decorated restaurant with a welcoming vibe. My two favourite dishes are the Zucchini Fritte and Parmigiana di Melanzane! Also, you can’t miss the Tiramisu for dessert!
